Premier League Teams Welcomed Revised Payment Structure at High-Level Stakeholder Meeting.

The Saint Lucia Semi Professional Football League (SemiPro Football League) held a successful stakeholder meeting with representatives of the ten participating  Premier League teams, along with officials from the Saint Lucia Football Association (SLFA), to present and discuss the finalized payment structure for the 2025 season.

The meeting, which was well attended and marked by high levels of engagement, was jointly facilitated by Semi Pro Football League Director Kendel Emmanuel, SLFA President Lyndon Cooper, and Semi Pro League CEO Francis Daniel.

At the core of the session was the unveiling of a Tiered Payment Structure that reflects a notable increase in financial allocation to both players and their technical teams. The revised framework is a direct outcome of ongoing collaboration between the SLFA, the Semi Pro League, and the Government of Saint Lucia, which continues to demonstrate its commitment to raising the standard of football across the island.

The structure was well received by attendees, who commended its fairness and clarity. It is designed to reward not only participation, but also to emphasize discipline, attendance, and punctuality, values that are fundamental to the League’s vision of professional excellence.

“The revised payment structure ensures that players and technical teams are compensated in a manner that recognizes both their performance on the pitch and their commitment to the League’s code of conduct,” noted Kendel Emmanuel, Director of the Semi Pro League.

This initiative aligns with the Government of Saint Lucia’s ongoing efforts to enhance accountability and professionalism in national sport, while promoting sustainable growth and opportunity for local footballers and coaches.

The League remains committed to fostering an environment where athletes can thrive, communities can rally behind their teams, and football continues to transform lives across Saint Lucia.
