In a match that Roseau Valley seemed to have wrapped up, a 90th-minute equalizer from Armed Francis snatched a point for home side Desruisseaux, sending the local crowd into a frenzy and denying Roseau a much-needed win in Round 3 of the Super League.
Roseau had taken the lead in the 36th minute courtesy of a composed finish from Edd Fred, putting them in control and raising hopes of a bounce-back performance following their loss to Laborie at the MPP. But the story could’ve been different much earlier had Dwight Preuhomme converted a first-half penalty for Desruisseaux, an opportunity they’ll surely regret missing.
With the draw, both teams now find themselves mid-table, with Desruisseaux sitting fourth and Roseau fifth after three rounds of intense competition.
U20s Run Riot Under the Lights
In the nightcap, the National U20 team turned on the style with arguably the most dominant half of football in the tournament so far, dismantling Micoud 5–2 in a show of pace, precision, and youthful brilliance.
Shervon Byron was the star of the show, notching his first hat trick of the campaign, while Thierry Morille and Niyal Fontenelle added their names to the scoresheet in what was a commanding first-half performance. Levi Attidore and Stephen Clercent struck back for Micoud, but it wasn’t enough to overturn the tide.
The result sees the National U20 side top the Super League table with 7 points from 3 matches, while Micoud languishes just above the relegation zone with 3 points.
